2011 Great American Clean-Up in Santa Rosa

   Saturday, April 16 and Saturday, April 23 from 8 am through 12 noon, volunteers took to the roads, parks, beaches and other public areas to celebrate Earth Day in Santa Rosa County by picking up, greening up and joining forces to help make our community cleaner and more beautiful. Allied Waste once again sponsored the event county wide, the sixth year they have done so. Clean-Ups on April 16 encompassed Milton, Pace, Bagdad, Floridale, Parkerville and American Farms. The Clean-Ups in Navarre and Munson were on Saturday, April 23 in order to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Meeting Spots on April 16:

Milton, Pace - County Administrative Complex on highway 90 (behind McDonald's)
Bagdad - Bagdad Museum on Church Street
Floridale - 11601 Bliss Way
East Milton - 9292 Nichols Lake Road
Parkerville - 5390 Ernie Newton Road

Meeting Spots on April 23:

Navarre - Navarre Park (opposite end from Butterfly House)
Munson - Blackwater Baptist Church

  Bags and water, as well as the dumpsters and disposal were provided by Allied Waste.
